Madagascar Madagascar is a kaleidoscope of man and nature. With 14 million residents of African, Arabian and Eastern blood and an island full of unique and diverse Fauna and Flora. This Southern African Island has been a unique meeting place for nature lovers from all over the world.
With more than 10 000 known varieties of endemic plants and home to 1000 different Orchid species, including the rarest of all the white flowered Angraecum Sesquipedale. More than half the worlds Chameleon population including the worlds largest and smallest species, 300 species of butterfly, and 32 species of primates all of which are only found here. Lemurs have to be the most famous of all Madagascar’s unique residents, a primate species that is neither monkey nor ape.
Today the island sees tourists of many nationalities; with some good common sense one can travel without any problems in Madagascar.
