Pilanesberg National Park
The malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park, within close proximity to the world renowned Sun City entertainment resort, is set high in the Pilanesberg range and traverses the floor of a long extinct volcano. Home to the “Big Five”, the park also has nearly 200km’s of excellent quality roads allowing for self-drives or guided drives.
Madikwe Reserves
Madikwe Game Reserve, situated against the Botswana border, is only a 3 hour drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria and is rapidly becoming one of the premier Big Five game viewing destinations in South Africa. The scenic rocky hills, vast plains of open woodlands and grasslands are home to at least 66 large mammal species and at least 300 resident and migrant bird species. Guests taken on conducted day and night game drives or bush walks.
