About Camp Kalahari

This family-friendly camp accepts children of all ages and is the best way to experience the Makgadikgadi in a fresh and affordable way. Ideal for those wanting fun and adventure, without sacrificing comfort and style. Camp Kalahari’s ten tents are nestled amongst the acacias and Mokolwane palms of Brown Hyena Island, on the edge of the Makgadikgadi saltpans. Activities on offer all year include: Interacting with friendly habituated meerkats, walking with Bushmen Guides, game drives to experience desert wildlife, Chapman’s Baobab - of the oldest and biggest trees in Africa, bird watching and night drives.

 

Dry season: 16h April - 31st October - Quad biking across the saltpans

 

Wet season: 1st November - 15th April - The zebra and wildebeest migration experience

ROAD TRANSFERS
Self-Drive Guests depart for Camp Kalahari from Planet Baobab. It is required that all Self-Drive Guests are accompanied by an Uncharted Africa Safari co. member of Staff and adhere to stipulated speed limits and designated routes. USD 150 per vehicle/rt. NOTE: Road Transfers may only be done during the dry season and if the roads are dry.
 
AIR TRANSFERS
Air Transfers are not included in the nightly rate.
Luggage is restricted to 20kgs per passenger in soft carry-on bags.

Tour Leader Rates apply for bookings of 6 + full paying Guests.
