Perched on the edge of what is often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World is the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. Its exclusive position on the Eastern rim affords it some of the most spectacular views of this collapsed volcano. Covering an area of 240 sq kilometre’s the crater floor is home to the densest population of animals in the world and amongst its residents is the endangered black rhino.  The crater floor is also home to vast herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, cheetah, leopard, lion and herds of gazelle and wildebeest. Its position on the Eastern rim allows easy access to the crater and has the most spectacular and uninterrupted views of the sunset.
